Gymnast of the Month is an opportunity for our staff to recognize those students who have gone above and beyond in their skill level. They are selected for exhibiting such skills as: respectfulness, listening skills, attitude, team spirit, skill accomplishment to name a few. Each gymnast will receive a certificate and a special pin.

We are so excited that the Stars & Stripes Class Olympics are just around the corner! The Class Olympics give gymnasts the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience, with cameras & video cameras, the skills they have achieved throughout the year. Gymnasts will receive an official Stars & Stripes Class Certificate and medal. This exciting event is free of charge and offered to all students enrolled during the month of June. The Olympics will take place during classes starting Monday, June 23rd. Gymnasts in the Little Lizards, Chameleon 1 & 2, Boy's, Gecko, Rising Stars 1 & 2, Shining Stars and Shooting Stars will be performing routines on each event for the show. The Tumblers, Penguins, Bunnies 1 & Bunnies 2 classes will showcase the skills they have been working on in class. The groups performing routines will begin learning the routines in May. This will be a fun event for the children, as well as a great boost for their confidence, and a reward for all of their hard work at the end of the year. We hope everyone will have the opportunity to participate.

Lockwood Video has been contracted to videotape the class Olmpics and are currently exploring the viability of providing coverage for your children. Please take a look at the order form, complete it, and drop it in the drop box at Stars & Stripes, mounted on the wall by the front door, if you are interested. Please note that since classes overlap and interest will vary, they may not be able to cover all of the classes. It is vital that you order in advance to guarantee coverage of your child. Classes with few orders may not be videotaped. In that case your order form and payment will be returned on or before the day of the event. If you wish to drop your class, you must submit a Stars & Stripes Gymnastics Academy class drop request on or before the last day of the month. This document can be found in the business office or download a DROP SLIP here for your convenience. If you drop a class mid month you will not receive credits and/or refunds for the remaining classes in that month. You may wish to complete the remaining classes in the current month and turn in your drop request after the last class of the month.
